Located in Central California, Harris Farms has been under continuous family operation since the 1930s. Since its founding in Fresno County, Harris Farms has grown into one of the largest family owned and functionally integrated agribusinesses in the nation.
Today, under the leadership of John Harris, the Harris name has probably become best known for producing the finest quality beef available. Together, Harris Feeding Company and Harris Ranch Beef Company have established a reputation as two of the most innovative firms in the industry, pioneering the development of a unique branded beef program as early as 1982.
By assembling a visionary management team, the Harris family has built the business into the sophisticated, state-of-the-art cattle feeding and fed beef processing operation it is today. In fact, Harris Ranch is now the largest cattle feeder, beef processor and marketer in California enabling us to serve the needs of hundreds of retail, foodservice and export customers.
Harris Ranch’s diversification extends beyond cattle feeding and processing, however, and includes an expansive farming operation in Central California as well as a world-renowned hospitality division which includes both an inn and multiple restaurant venues.
