Position Description
Harris Ranch is searching for a passionate, highly motivated candidate to join our production team. The Processed Meats Production Supervisor will oversee 75 production employees in a RTE (Ready to Eat) facility of a wide range of deli meats involving beef, pork and poultry. The successful candidate will be involved in the Injection/Massaging, Stuffing/Racking, Cooking/Smoking, Chilling and Packing steps to produce high-end quality deli meats.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Position Description
The Foodservice Customer Service Rep is responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with all Foodservice Accounts, Foodservice Distributors, Foodservice Brokers as well as their Accounts Receivable Departments to help achieve growth and profitability for Harris Ranch.

The Foodservice Customer Service will also develop and execute Foodservice sales strategies on assigned accounts, both through direct sales and broker management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing account relationships, executing sales strategies while managing promotional funding.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze and administer marketing programs and monthly rebates.

Analyze each order received while determining what additional items on inventory can be offered/sold to accounts. Ensure proper pricing, ship dates and allocations.

Manage and process all sample requests. Coordinate with designated plant personnel (i.e. production and loading dock)

Arrange transportation or pickup to ship UPS Overnight.

Maintain and manage HRA/HRC Inventory
   Sub/Sell aged products when necessary
   Make sure fresh product is moved to freezer when requested

Compile and distribute personalized weekly pricing for customers requiring pricing sheets

Setup and manage new product codes
   Follow through with spec/yields/costing

Manage all Point of Sale requests. Coordinate with marketing department and warehouse. Pack and ship via UPS.

Analyze Accounts Receivable reports, working directly with each Foodservice Accounts Payable Department to keep Account Receivables current.
   Process claims and credits/debits in a timely manner.

Analyze account information for specific time periods.

Analyze daily/weekly reports tracking supplies, samples, substitution and shortages.

Manager and maintain open relationship with plant management, shipping and transportation.

Plan and work with transportation in obtaining delivery appointments, special requests and deflecting any shipping errors or mishaps.

Help with filling trucks or re-arranging orders when needed to help the greater good of the company.

Compile emails/letters at the request of senior team members when needed.

Answer all incoming calls appropriately and timely, taking care of all questions, concerns or issues, directing them to appropriate team members as needed

The Processed Meats Manager will be instrumental to the construction and subsequent commissioning of a state-of-the-art RTE facility. The individual will oversee production of an extensive portfolio of high quality, branded processed meat and poultry products. The successful candidate will demonstrate comprehension of and experience with:

Products – injected/smoked/cured whole muscle beef, pork and poultry roasts for deli and slicing; seasoned cook-in-the-bag products and emulsified proteins

Injection – brine preparation, yield & uptake calculation, etc.

Massaging/Marinating/Seasoning – familiar with equipment and processes unique to each product

Stuffing/Packing – demonstrate comprehension of stuffing effects on slicing yields

Cooking/Smoking – manage an efficient 24/7 cooking schedule with experience of wet/dry bulb cooking and natural smoke processes with understanding of equipment and Thermal Processing Authority

Chilling – exhibit knowledge of impact of chilling on quality and slicing yields

Packing – experience with the intricacies of RTE processes

The Manager will interface with key partners, Harris Ranch executives, QA, marketing, R&D, maintenance and sanitation to manage a department that consistently achieves expected product performance and production standards. The Manager will contribute to the maintenance of respective HACCP/SSOP/BRC programs. You will be responsible for enhancement of KPIs, setting goals and delegating responsibility to appropriate personnel.


Technical Skills and Qualifications
A BS/MS degree in Animal Science, Meat Science or Food Technology other related field preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years experience in processed meats production with at least two (2) years in a management role.

Position Description
The position of Stacker involves handling and stacking boxes of filled orders of meat product. Must be able to multi task and work alone. Will scan product into system as well as assign boxes to orders. Will wrap pallets and bins with shrink wrap. Load pallets onto trailers for delivery to wholesale/retail stores.


Position Requirements
Qualified candidates must be able to lift and carry (approximately 67 pounds). Boxes can average from 18 to 110 pounds. Lower (this is performed approximately 600 to 1200 times per day), push, pull, and continual use of both hands/arms at waist level and sometimes at or slightly above shoulder height. The employee must read labels on the boxes coming down the conveyor line, which indicated the type of product and meat grade.

This position is Sunday through Friday. Night shift start time varies (30 hours guaranteed).

Sunday 3pm - ?, Monday to Friday start time varies.

Job Responsibility & Summary
Will perform a combination of tasks in meat processing facility. Tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

Remove bones, and cut meat into standard cuts for market.

Cut, trim, skin, sort, and wash viscera of slaughtered animals to separate edible portions from offal.

Eviscerate, and trim carcasses of slaughtered animals.

Tend assembly lines, performing a few of the many cuts needed to process a carcass.

Use tools and machinery including, but not limited to, knives, wrap products, scales, grinders, and other hand or power tools.


Qualifications
Routine tasks include, but are not limited to, performing the following:

Ability to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.

Ability to perform physically intensive activities and/or exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects.

Ability to keep hands and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position.

Knowledge of general work safety practices and personal protective equipment.

Position Description
To operate Banquet events as a full charge manager. To actively supervise, direct, train, develop and motivate staff to achieve desired results. To operate profitably and manage the Banquet Department operating expenses, labor cost, cost of sale expenses within budgetary parameters. To continually grow and enhance your professional knowledge, keeping apprised of industry trends and innovations. To establish and maintain consistent service, etiquette, and timely coursing standards. To ensure successful meetings and dining experiences for all Banquets events. To ensure that all banquet set-ups, food/beverage stations reflect quality, professionalism and consistency at all times. To facilitate and provide services and products arranged by the sales department; meeting or exceeding our guests expectations. To always possess a positive attitude, work in conjunction with the rest of the restaurant management team in putting our guests first in every business decision we make.


Duties and Responsibilities
Ongoing staff training and development

Provide leadership to Banquet service staff through frequent reinforcement in sequence of service and service standards.

Ensuring adherence to company standards, emphasis on staff efficiency and effectiveness, and responding decisively to guest or employee challenges as they arise.

Maintain a visible presence on the floor; interacting with guests by name and ensuring their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations.

Communicates to staff through daily pre-shift team member meetings.


Requirements / Knowledge / Abilities
Must have superior communication skills; both written and verbal and possess computer literacy in MS Word, Outlook, etc.

“Preferred” Hospitality Degree or coursework from reputable institution

Minimum of 3-5 years management OR supervisory experience / exposure in Banquet operations

Position requires professionalism, outstanding communication skills, leadership, and organizational ability

Ability to work most weekends and holidays

Candidates should possess knowledge in diagnostic, hydraulic, electrical and diesel mechanics skills. Truck and trailer knowledge.


Knowledge
Fundamentals of automotive and diesel truck technology. Current repair methods, tools, diagnostic equipment and parts used in minor and major repair of vehicles and equipment.

Operating and repair characteristics of the entire range of Company-owned vehicles and equipment. Training and communication techniques. Industry repair standards in the automotive and equipment fields.


Ability
Perform diagnostic and mechanical work on the entire range of Company-owned vehicles and equipment.

Perform mechanical work including the troubleshooting of equipment for both major and minor repairs. Performs routine computer data entry on daily work performed, and uses computer to retrieve records regarding previous repairs.

Work productively in the absence of supervision. Accurately determine mechanical repair needed.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.


Physical Characteristics
Must be able to lift heavy objects, perform manual labor and be in sufficiently good health to perform job tasks.


Education
High School or equivalent education required. Good written and oral communication skills.


Salary

Position Summary/Description
Exercise Riders must have experience working with and starting young horses.

Rider will be asked to work with up to twelve horses daily. The present daily average is ten horses.

This is not a training position unless specified at hiring.
