Position Description
Harris Ranch Beef Company (HRBC) is looking for an individual to manage the Grading Cooler. Experience in production agriculture is preferred, with preference given to those with a meats judging background.

Job responsibilities include: Identification, segregation and data input following the official USDA grading of beef carcasses; inventory control; report generation; and production scheduling.


Responsibilities
Discussing Grade placement with USDA Meat Grading and Certification Branch

Correlating Grade Factors with USDA MGCB Employees and Supervisors

Scan Cattle, enter grades, yield grades

Holding Cattle for Re-grades

Calling Factors on Carcass Data Cattle

Measure Rib eyes for PQ Program

Adjust carcass data to match grading report (PQ Program)

Re-grading Cattle and Sorting Re-graded Cattle into corresponding categories

Production Scheduling daily

Run Coder and Primal Inventories, verify and adjust if needed

Delegating day to day activities, and following through that they are accomplished

Keep inventory maintenance updated


Qualifications
Meat Grading or Meat Judging experience

AS Degree Equivalent or Higher Preferred

HAACP Experience a plus

Management experience

Position Description
Harris Ranch Beef Company – a family-owned, functionally integrated leader in premium, high quality beef – is searching for an experienced, highly motivated candidate to join their Production team in the role as Harvest Manager. The Harvest Manager will work to oversee and manage all aspects of a single-shift beef harvest process including, but not limited to Budgets, Animal Welfare, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, QSA, BRC, Production Yields (Carcass & Offal), Staffing, and employee Safety. The Harvest Manager will lead a team that consists of a General Foreman and four Supervisors – all of which provide leadership, direction and supervision for a staff of approximately 140 employees. The Harvest Manager reports to the VP, Operations on a daily basis and participates in weekly production meetings. The Harvest Manager maintains an active rapport with USDA inspectors while implementing a proactive approach to regulatory issues. Harvest Manager will be responsible for enhancement of KPIs, setting goals and delegating responsibility to appropriate personnel.


Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years management/supervision experience in beef harvest (hide-on & hide-off) and all appropriate equipment.

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of process improvements and technical developments.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Duties

Comprehend and implement all aspects of union contract.

Provide feedback to Maintenance and Engineering regarding condition of equipment.

Monitor yields (carcass & offal) and oversee adherence to production standards.

Manage employee training, pay schedules and discipline.

Implement department budget and identify cost-saving strategies.

Assure implementation of company’s HACCP, SSOP, GMP, BRC, Animal Welfare and QSA programs.

Maintain good communication with drivers, supervisors and employees to ensure equipment requirements are met.


Skills and Attributes
High School or equivalent education preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Experience Requirements
3+ years of truck and forklift repair experience. Class A drivers license preferred.

Position Description
Maintenance mechanics service and repair production equipment, conveyors, motors, etc. Previous production environment experience preferred. Electrical or Refrigeration skills required. Positions available on all shifts.

Job Responsibility & Summary
Will perform a combination of tasks in meat processing facility. Tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

Remove bones, and cut meat into standard cuts for market.

Cut, trim, skin, sort, and wash viscera of slaughtered animals to separate edible portions from offal.

Eviscerate, and trim carcasses of slaughtered animals.

Tend assembly lines, performing a few of the many cuts needed to process a carcass.

Use tools and machinery including, but not limited to, knives, wrap products, scales, grinders, and other hand or power tools.


Qualifications
Routine tasks include, but are not limited to, performing the following:

Ability to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.

Ability to perform physically intensive activities and/or exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects.

Ability to keep hands and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position.

Knowledge of general work safety practices and personal protective equipment..

Position Summary/Description
Exercise Riders must have experience working with and starting young horses.

Knowledge of general handling of horses is required.

Must be a team player, exhibiting leadership and time management.


Duties and Responsibilities
Riding, lunging, driving and other ground work.

Rider will be asked to work with up to twelve horses daily. The present daily average is ten horses.

This is not a training position unless specified at hiring.

Rider must be motivated, reliable, have strong work ethics and have the ability to be a team player.

Body weight of no more than 160 lbs. preferred.
